The Newark School Board elections are on April 16th. This election is a crucial opportunity for community members to shape our city's educational future. If you received mail-in ballot instructions with the wrong date for school board elections, saying the 18th, please disregard them. Thank you to one of our members for this tip!

This event shines a spotlight on films that, while not mainstream, have profound impacts by raising awareness about the lives and issues of queer people and communities of color.

Spotlight on Our Community Media Fellows - Queer Media Lab Collaboration
In partnership with the Newark Community LGBTQ Center and Project Tea, our Queer Media Lab is making strides in amplifying LGBTQ+ voices. We are five weeks in! We just completed four weeks of audio media training. Be on the lookout for audio narratives from our South Ward, West Ward, and Queer community media fellows. Facilitators Shelly Ferrell and Leesy lead workshops that empower participants to create meaningful, impactful media pieces.
